Recent Aston Waikiki Review: "What a delight! I booked this hotel after I read about all of the wonderful reviews, and it was more than I had expected!
First of all, we arrived about three hours before check-in on the off chance that our room was ready. It was not, but the staff offered to call my cell phone as soon as it was. They let us check our luggage downstairs before the room as ready so that we could go explore. About a half an hour later, it was ready. I was so impressed!
From the moment we checked in to the time we left, the staff was incredible. Everyone is so polite and does an excellent job making you feel right at home. We never had any issues with anything.
The breakfast is really good - some variety every day but also some things that stay the same so that everyone is happy. The "cooler" that they give you is perfect to take your breakfast on the go, which was exactly what we did for most of our stay.
One of my favorite parts was the location - you are RIGHT across from the beach and close to a lot of restaurants. There's also Tiki's, the bar/grill in the hotel which serves a lot of twists on local favorites, and has some amazing drinks. The location is also perfect and is on the route for many shuttles to stop at. All of the tours/excursions we did had pick-up here so it was never a problem getting around.
On our last day, we were doing an excursion in the morning so we called the front desk to see if we could do a late check out. We were told that it was no problem at all, and sure enough, even though we were running a little late, they could not have been nicer.
We loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it!!!"
