Recent Kahala Review: "This hotel is outstanding! I spent 2months in hotels in Oahu and this was bar FAR the best place I stayed. It is wonderful, the staff is awesome, the accomodations are breathtaking, the grounds are gorgeous. The beach is only people staying at the resort, the furnished lanais are amazing, the turndown service in the evening is wonderful. The food at the restaurant is awesome, the service is great! The dolphins are adorable and the dolphin trainers are very nice. The hotel itself is beautiful and everything is amazing! I have suggested this place to many friends who have gone and had a wonderful experience and I plan to go back again when I am in Hawaii. It is worth the price tag and it is a bargain at ANY cost!"

Diamond Head shields Kahala from the buzz of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. Filled with mansions, this wealthy residential enclave attracts celebrities and other A-listers who crave its seclusion. Its public beaches, too, tend to be less crowded than those in other Honolulu neighborhoods.

Hoku's - Hoku's consistently wins acclaim for its contemporary Island cuisine, which melds Hawaiian, Asian, and European flavors prepared with finesse and served with style. Renovated June 2006, the hotel features bright furnishings, Italian bone china, and Christofle silver. Updated menu items include Slow Braised Kahuku Pork Belly, Pancetta Crusted Onaga, and Salt Crusted Rack of Wisconsin Lamb, served tableside. Old favorites such as the Crisp Whole Island Fish still remain. Thanks to a multi-level layout, all diners receive ocean-view seats, but may be distracted from the view by the open kitchen featuring fiery hot woks, a kiawe wood grill, and tandoori and wood-burning ovens. Hoku's serves dinner and Sunday brunch.
Plumeria Beach House - Renowned for its Kahala Burger, this casual beachside café features bountiful buffets and off-the-menu choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with live Hawaiian music at sunset.
Tokyo-Tokyo - Inside or outside by a garden, this stylish Japanese restaurant serves dinner either robata style or in tatami rooms.
The Veranda - Embodying the graciousness of plantation-era Hawaii and offering panoramic ocean views, afternoon tea, cocktails, and live-music dancing in the evenings, The Veranda supplies tradition and romance by day, sunset, or moonlight.
Seaside Grill - With a direct view of the Pacific Ocean, this restaurant is perfect for lunch or afternoon cocktails.
Honu Bar & Terrace - Located next to the turtle ponds, Honu (Hawaiian for "turtle") serves lunch, evening appetizers, dinner, and tropical drinks.
