| The staff is all very friendly and helpful (including the cleaning staff). Room was clean and met our needs. The location is convenient, with restaurants and grocery stores just a few miles north in Kapa'a. The best part is the Lydgate beach and pools, which you walk to right out the back of the hotel. The pools have great fish viewing for the beginner snorkeler. Right next to the protected beach/pools, there's an expanse of beach with better waves. Since my last visit they added free movie rentals, free lobby wifi, and free printing of your airline boarding passes - thanks! |

| Nice grounds, although the Japanese Garden looked neglected. Rooms are a bit out of date. Staff was really friendly. All in all a good hotel! |

| Extremely friendly and efficient staff upon check-in. Housekeeping staff very friendly and always spoke "aloha" upon passing in hallway. Loved the convenience of the DVD checkout system for our granddaughter to enjoy some movies in the evening. Overall stay a real nice experience. |

| Au moment de notre arrivée, une des deux piscines etaient sans eaux.
On a eu 2 interruptions d eau dans notre chambre suite à une fuite sur une canalisation exterieur.
Pour cela, on nous a offert les 40$ de taxes pour les 4 nuits passées.
Sinon l hotel est plutot bien, chambre correcte, douche pas trop mal, grand espace vert a l exterieur.
Il est situé a 10 minutes de l aeroport et à 5 miniutes de la premiere ville ( en voiture bien sur ).
Vu la nature des sejours a Kauai, cet hotel est bien.

| The Aston Aloha in Kapa-a represents excellent value for anyone looking for a clean and affordable room close to the Lihue Airport in Kauai. The staff if friendly, the amenities are fine and, basically, the place "works". As an added bonus, the hotel backs up to a lovely state beach, so a morning or evening stroll is easy to do. Finally, the town of Kapa'a has a number of excellent restaurants at all price ranges, several of which appear regularly on "Best Of Kauai" lists. At 10-15 minutes from the airport, it's hard to beat, especially at approximately 75% of the rates of similar hotels in the area. |

| My first trip to Kauai and after being on the island for eight days realize I need to look no further for a good hotel. It's not plush or on the cutting edge, but is a real good value. Friendly staff. Great location. Old Hawaii feel.
If you want elegance, go to the South Shore and pay the prices. For me, I like it relaxed and comfy. |

| I originally booked the hotel for three nights, then extended for five more. My earlier review is below.
Do your best to overlook the negative reviews. This hotel is over 25 years old but it goes on like a pair of comforatble shoes. Friendly people in a great location. |

| I read some poor reviews on this hotel but decided to stay there anyway. You should do the same. Plush and snooty it is not. If you want that, go to the South Shore and pay the prices.
This is a solid, comfortable hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, convenient to the airport and the sights. Ancient temple on the grounds, short stroll to the beach and a great kids park next door. Hot tub is just right. Grounds and landscaping are well done.
For a touch of old Hawaii, try the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel. |

| Front desk staff excellent, concierge and housekeeping could be a little more helpful. We liked the hotel well enough to come back at the end of our trip as well. Close to airport but not so close as to hear noise. |
