Hotel exceeded our expectations in just about everything. Loved the place!! One glitch only-- our room #456 has spiral stairwell to lovely loft which can easily accommodate more people, but... be careful-- sharp wooden edge actually caused injury to two people in our group of 7; but once we tied a towel around that edge of the staircase everything was safe. Beautiful ocean view; lovely for kids; enjoying the great pool, we sent 3 little ones upstairs on their own, could see them waving to us from lanai as they arrived. We also visited nearby hotels and decided that, definitely, the Shores was by far better, since the others were too "resorty"... too many little useless pools and gizmos; plus in some of the others it's easy to forget the ocean... The Shores is much more open, more "humble" in a good way. We had an amazing new kitchen, cooked everything there. Very good and prompt service.
