The Aston at Papakea Resort is located near the resort community of Kaanapali, four miles from Lahaina, Hawaii, on the island of Maui. Whalers Village is located one mile away, while Kaanapali Golf Course is two miles from this property.

Set on 13 oceanfront acres, Aston at Papakea Resort features manicured lawns, tropical landscaping and tranquil koi ponds framed by coconut palms. Guests have signing privileges at the nearby Beach Club Restaurant that serves steaks, pasta and seafood dishes. A full bar specializes in tropical drinks. Business amenities such as fax and photocopy services are available at the 24-hour front desk. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided in public areas. This Maui resort has two ocean-view splash pools with spa tubs, as well as two 18-hole putting greens and a lighted tennis court.Yoga and an introductory surfing class are complimentary. Advanced surfing classes are available for a surcharge.

The adjacent companion property has a beachfront fitness center (surcharge) and offers a children’s program (ages 5–12) that includes Hawaiian cultural activities and outdoor play, from ukulele lessons to hula-skirt making. Daily surcharge for the children’s program is $25, subject to change.

The resort rents kayaks, boogie boards, and other beach equipment. The golf courses of Kaanapali are two miles south. The famed three courses and golf academy of Kapalua are five miles north. Other activities in West Maui include skydiving, parasailing, hiking in the West Maui mountains, and boating.

    A short guide to Kaanapali

    Kaanapali is a prime vantage point for viewing humpback whales, which swim by December to May. The town’s whaling history is displayed at Whaler’s Village, a shopping complex and museum. Visitors also can experience the area’s farming past by riding the Sugar Cane Train, a restored steam locomotive. Snorkelers and divers can enjoy the coral reefs and fish that thrive in nearby Black Rock Beach.
