| I arrived at 11:30am expecting my room to be ready at noon. I had called an asked for an early check in. They said, "No, you can not check in until 3pm." I was hot an tired. I asked if they had any facilities to spend my time at. No they did not. I was simply handed two towels and given poor directions to the beach. The beach was a 15 min walk away from the office.There was no shade and I was stuck in the sun for 3 and 1/2 hours waiting for my room. There were no gas stations around and I didn't know where to go to get refreshments as I wasn't offered even a bottle of water at check in. My son and I returned at 2:45 hoping the room was ready. It wasn't and I asked for a place to shower, but they replied, "In the room." My son was covered in sand and both of us were exhausted, thirsty and frustrated. After a further uncomfortable wait, once my keys were given I was told to walk 3 blocks to my room. There was no shuttle and no apology from the front desk. I did not have a rental car at this time and had to drag my suitcase and my son 3 blocks down the road to searc for the bulding that was slightly difficult to find. Not a pleasant experience! Upon check out, I was charged for more fees even though, my boyfriend had prepaid for the room. I was suppose to stay 3 nights, but his card was only charged for two and then they put the remaining charges on my card. This was upsetting because the hotel was a gift from my boyfriend who couldn't be there (away on international business) and I had to pay for part of it. In these times, I was not expecting that. Overall, I was very unhappy with the service and the experience. |
