Recent Bamboo Orchid Cottage Review: "This place is a gem. Only 2+ miles from the national park entrance. Situated in a quiet subdivision. Local building codes apparently allow only the foot-print of a structure tone cleared; all surrounding land is untouched to preserve the rainforest. Loads of amenities, including an extensive resource library. Breakfast is artfully presented. Gary, the jack-of-all trades ex-Marine runs 2 properties for the owner, who handles back-office activities remotely. Gary takes pride in his work, part concierge, housekeeper, cook, and handyman. I would return to this wonderfully peaceful place. PS: several good restaurants are not far away."
