Recent Doubletree Alana Waikiki Review: "For a hotel in Waikiki, this hotel is overly targeted at business travelers. For instance, they don't have brochures for any of the many activities available in the area. The location is convenient relative to the locations of other hotels in the area. You pay a $30 a night premium to be closer to the beach when in fact, this hotel is just about a  7 minute leisurely walk to the Hilton Hawaiian village which has a public beach area that's accessible to all. Housekeeping is a bit slow. For example, they came into our room around 1PM in the afternoon. Not complaining really. Just an observation. The pool is small but the exercise room is nice. Good place all things considered."
