Recent Hawaii Prince Waikiki Review: "For our 1-week vacation to Hawai'i we started with 2 nights in Honolulu, 5 nights on the Big Island, and then 1 more night in Honolulu. Since I am a grad student we decided to cut costs where we could and stayed in a hostel for the first 2 nights in Honolulu and planned to splurge on a fancy hotel for our last night, this is the hotel we chose. The  location on the marina is nice - you can walk less than a mile to Waikiki beach along the water. The view of the marina from the 20th floor was sweet. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom had a separate stall for the toilet and shower, which made getting ready quickly to go out a breeze (and even included generous 2 oz toiletry bottles). The room also included a fridge (great for saving leftovers for breakfast) and bathrobes (baller). The front desk was helpful - they provided beach towels and even had postcard stamps for sale. There were always cabs outside, which was nice for hitching a late ride to the airport. Overall we had a great night here, mahalo!"

    A short guide to Waikiki

    Waikiki established its reputation as a getaway when the Moana Surfrider opened its doors in 1901. Today, more than 30,000 hotel rooms are packed in the skyscrapers along the golden sands of Waikiki Beach. At the end of Waikiki, Diamond Head towers as an enduring landmark. West of Waikiki, Pearl Harbor offers a somber testament to history and the victims of World War II.

    Recreation

    On the hotel's fifth floor, guests will find a large, keyhole-shaped, outdoor pool, along with a spa tub and a sundeck with lounge chairs. A 24-hour fitness room has three cardiovascular exercise machines, free weights, and several strength-training machines. Several times a week, the hotel also offers complimentary early-morning health walks through the surrounding areas of Waikiki, and a Tai Chi stretch session.

    Complimentary shuttle service is offered to the hotel's 27-hole, Arnold Palmer-designed championship golf course, 45 minutes away. Guests receive preferred tee times and special rates. Two- and three-mile public jogging trails are found at the nearby Ala Moana Beach Park.
