| Our recent overnight stay was very pleasant & comfortable. When we left the hotel, I had forgotton my shirt in the closet. We stayed at the Kona Seaside Hotel the next day & they contacted the Hilo Seaside about my shirt. Housekeeping was able to retrieve my shirt. We would just like to extend our sincere thank you to Sonya & the wonderful staff there who contacted me & was able to federal express the shirt back to me in Honolulu. The professionalism & caring of everyone is appreciated. |

| Bathroom wasn't cleaned upon arrival. Other than that it was good value for your money. The included breakfast was really good. Staff was very friendly. |

| This hotel is good, overall. Only a few set-backs. First, I never seen a hotel with a few stairs at the entrance. As a hotel, many of your guests will have heavy luggage. It would be better if they replace them with ramps. Second, the walls appear to be thin. At least in the room that I stayed in. Finally, they should really have black-out drapes. Around 7AM, the whole room will be easily lit, and it made it impossible to sleep in. |

| Entirely plain and vanilla, but thoroughly clean. There are window unit ACs, but usually Hilo is so mild, they are rarely needed. Because of the topography of the site, only ONE flight of stairs gets you up to the third floor and there is a separate entrance there at that level for your bags to be hauled. The staff falls all over themselves to help you. It ain't the Ritz, but neither is the price. SUPER convenient to the airport. |

| We had a wonderful stay in the Hilo Seaside. Although old, the rooms were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We had service everyday even though we didn't need it. Our 3 breakfast choices were varied and tasty. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The downside was the street noise oh, and the night frogs - VERY loud. We would stay there again. | Seaside Hotel was an ok hotel. They were conveniently located near the hotel and was fairly close to a major road. The outside of the hotel may seem "dingy" but the inside was comfortable enough for a 1 night stay. They made an effort to make the inside garden courtyard look nice. Service was quick and friendly - gave a great suggestion for a restaurant for dinner. |

| Perfectly adequate hotel, located in the same area as most Hilo accommodation. Very helpful staff, several options for prepaid breakfast (including healthy option), pleasant view if room overlooks the bay. Restaurant menu looks fine but did not get oppportunity to try it. Just a few things to be aware of:
- wi-fi only available in lobby
- hotel is a mile or more from Hilo town
- buses stop nearby but infrequent (hourly or more)
- 50c charge for local & toll-free calls
- stair to 2nd floor rooms quite narrow for carrying luggage. |

| Very nice small hotel, maintained well for a long time. Staff was great. Slatted windows made things a bit noisy, but there was plenty to do in Hilo, so ,we didn't spend much time in the room, anyway. |
