Recent Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Review: "The bed and linens were amazing. Just like home, down comforter and pillows, bath robes and very clean. The bed was super comfy. My children (11 & 13) loved all the pools including the one with slides and the lagoon. There were towels available at the pools for the pool or beach. The complimentary toiletries were pleasant smelling. Only had a mini frig but no microwave. Ala Moana shopping center was a short walk but for high end shopping, there were a lot of shopping options on the 22 acre campus. You could come to Waikiki and never leave the campus. We loved it. Don't need a rental car as the bus system is amazing. We rode to Hanauma Bay. Catch the 8 and transfer to the 23. Takes about 40 min. Leave the hotel by 30min after the hour so you make the connection to the 23 which only comes hourly at 49min after until 3pm. You'll need to watch a short 10 min video about the bay to ensure you're aware of the wildlife rules. Bring a small backpack cooler with water and a picnic lunch so you can spend a few hours at the bay. If you get there by 10am or 11am, you'll only want to be in the water until 3pm because the waves get a little obnoxious after then. We did see a sea turtle which we captured on our underwater video. We loved the hotel and all of its amenities."

    Bali by the Sea - This ocean-view restaurant features island-inspired Pacific Rim cuisine and an award-winning wine list. Preparations include island-style surf and turf and Kona Kampachi. Open for dinner only; closed Sunday.

    Guests choose from six swimming pools, including a children's pool and the 10,000-square-foot Super Pool, which overlooks the beach and is surrounded by waterfalls, lush landscaping, and lava rocks. The Rainbow Express Keiki Club (surcharge) offers full- or half-day programs of recreational and educational activities with a focus on Polynesian life. The on-site health spa includes an extensive fitness center (surcharge) with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, aerobics, and other fitness classes.

    Surfboards, boogie boards, kayaks, ocean rafts, snorkel sets, umbrellas, and beach chairs can be rented on the beach. Outrigger canoes and catamarans offer rides from the beach. From the Village's pier, the Atlantis Submarine conducts underwater discovery tours (surcharge).
