Recent Hilton Waikiki Kuhio Review: "Great location. Hotel staff extremely helpful. Just a block from Waikiki Beach. The hotel street is right on the major bus line to access area attractions. In walking distance of shops. The lobby restaurant is kind of pricey, but it does not matter because hotel is only 2-3 blocks from places to eat and a grocery store. **We stayed at this hotel in the past when it was under the management of Radisson. Under Hilton, the rooms are more modern. The decor is really nice. Has a mini-refrigerator and balcony. Our bed was comfortable with no bed bugs. Plenty of space in the bathroom to spread out the toiletries. The bathroom only had a shower but it was really nice and spacious (and I do not take baths at hotels anyway) **Great pool.**Loved the business office. It really helped us to get last-minute info on area attractions when needed. It was clean, had enough PCs (all working), printers, pens, paper clips, note paper, stapler, and even legal-sized paper. **For all these pluses, we think it is well worth the price we paid at hotels.com. Parking fee per night was expensive at $25 per night, but it appears that it is expensive at most of the Waikiki hotels."

| A short guide to Waikiki |
|
Waikiki established its reputation as a getaway when the Moana Surfrider opened its doors in 1901. Today, more than 30,000 hotel rooms are packed in the skyscrapers along the golden sands of Waikiki Beach. At the end of Waikiki, Diamond Head towers as an enduring landmark. West of Waikiki, Pearl Harbor offers a somber testament to history and the victims of World War II.

| My newlywed wife and I couldn't have asked for anything else from out stay at this hotel. Of course we never planned on spending much time there as we wanted to check out the neighborhood as well as the rest of the island, so can't comment on the pool, restaurant or fitness room. But they are anything like the quality found in the rest of the hotel, you can rest assured. Room was modern, elegant and yet perfectly cozy, had a European elegance to it. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel is convenient to many restaurants, the beach, shops, and a park. The continental breakfast we were allowed for booking an executive room wasn't anything to rave about but got the job done, no worries. |

| Hotel was nice and modern. Helpful staff and great location. One block from beach and conviently located at a trolly drop off. The only downside we had was the restroom. It smelled like a mild case of mildew. Shower curtins really didn't hold the water in the tube that well. After ever shower, there would be water all over the floor. Which I think explains the mildew smell. |

| Can't say much negative about the hotel but not our favorite stay in Hawaii. We only went to Honolulu to see the highlights...Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Waikiki Beach, etc. Not into shopping and surfing. The location was convenient to a lot but certainly not on or near the beach. You can see it from the top floors perhaps, a good 2 block away. We weren't impressed with Waikiki and the surrounding atmosphere. Expensive parking fee of $25 per day. I guess normal for a city. Very expensive breakfast at the hotel but they did have a convenient snack bar for on-the-go food. OK hotel for our purposes, just nothing special. |

| This was a great value for a city view room that happened to have an ocean view! Even though it was only on the 6th floor, we had a view right down the street. The room was perfect with an adequate sized lanai and very comfortable beds and pillow. |

| Ive stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. id say 85% of the staffs are really friendly and 15% not friendly at ALL!!!!!!!. I talked to different services and ive meet some very nice people but there is that lady who work as a concierge on the morning ( i read bad reviews and notice) and shes not friendly at all. Room Serivce is ok. They screw my order 1ce but the romm service personn was very very nice and friendly so it was easy to forgive him. The rooms have a lot of space to move around with a great view. The executive lounge is really kewl too but again, one of the staff isnt friendly at all. So i really suggest to read ALL comments on this hotel.

| The restaurant in the hotel was great. The food was good and the service was excellent. The hotel service should have been better. The room only had the option of a king or 2 doubles. A family of three with a child would have a slight problem with this. At first the hotel told me they do not offer any other type of bed or sleeping service to accommodate 3 people in a room. When my husband called back 2 days later they told him he could have a double bed in the room for an additional cost of $70. There was a daily charge for Internet usage. There was no self-park, only valet. The location of the hotel makes parking on the street not an option. The daily parking rate was $25. The pool was small, and only went as deep as 5 feet. The fitness center was small, and crowded. They only had a small free weight area, and a few cardio machines. A couple of the cardio machines did work properly, and all the machines were almost taken. On Friday and Saturday night they have Chippendale Dancers doing a show at the hotel. A lot of excited young women show up for the shows, starting at 5 and going to 12pm. This was not a very comfortable setting with an impressionable young child. |

| The room was very clean, we had a wonderful view of the beach and the hotel was very conveniently located a block off the main Waikiki drag. The only negative is that the concierge was unwilling to help us find a restaurant for dinner. She would only reccomend restaurants in hotels and when we indicated that we didn't want a tourist trap type of restaurant, she refused to help us. If you don't care what you eat, that's fine. If you're a foodie, you'll need to research restaurants before you go, hopefully from people with actual experience. |

| We had a lovely ocean view room on a top floor. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the concierge was extremely unhelpful. We asked for recommendations for restaurants and she refused to suggest anything other than what was in the hotel. We asked about timing and transportation to the airport and she told us she couldn't help us. |

| Our stay at the Prince Kuhio exceeded our expectations in every way. Perfect location in a quiet area,a five minute walk to the beach. Shopping, restaurants and entertainment within easy walking distance. "The Bus" stop just steps from the hotel for transportation, convenient to everything.
The rooms were clean and modern and the beds were fantastic. We considered staying in the room for the entire vacation! Seriously, the bed was wonderful, the most comfortable we have experienced during our travels.
The hotel staff was great, especially Ali, the Assistant Front Office Manager. He answered all our questions and was extremely outgoing and friendly as were all the hotel employees.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay and we look forward to visiting again. |

| My wife and I spent a week in the Hilton Prince Kuhio. With the intent of being the Executive version of the Hilton in Waikiki (if you have kids go to the Hilton Hawaiian Village down the road), the Hilton Prince Kuhio delivers in fashion. Great room (bed was awesome, large TV), great ocean view, great service, and compared to other "namebrand" hotels in the area, great value. It was our 1st visit to Hawaii. We booked a Deluxe ocean view room. We were given a room on the 32nd floor, on the corner of the hotel (diamond head side) and it completely met our demands for what a deluxe ocean view is supposed to be. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach for you to walk out in your bathing suit and towel, bars with live music at night (Hawaiian, Jazz, Rock, take your pick), convenience stores (the ABC stores are everywhere though), and very important for me at least, a Starbucks around the corner. It's also a 5 min walk to reach Kalakua ave and its EXCEPTIONAL shopping and nightlife strip. If you mind not staying on the beach itself, this hotel will exceed your needs. Only "issue" I will mention is some (not all) of the front desk staff think too much of themselves as Hilton employees. However, they WILL get the job done. No complaints. |
