Recent Hilton Review: "With a very nice room you will here mostly appreciate the function of the hotel with itA´s vast areas of outdoor gardening and decor with strong asian influences. Not many hotels have 2 trains and up to 10 boats to transport guests between the different parts of the hotel. Also in spite of the many people in the hotel it was quiet and you could really have sweat dreams. We totally loved it. The food was also very good. If one negative point should be pointed out: the capacity of some of the restaurants - we went to two restaurants and they were both full. So disappointed we went to the most low cost one on the premises and we were sooo positively surprised by the standard of the food in Palm terrace. To stay here is a real treat to you and your family."

| Staff is courteous and hospitable. There are many activities for children of all ages and families of all sizes. Grounds are beautiful and expansive. Nice beach nearby to explore.
Prices at resort are exorbitant. Best to bring some food, snacks, and beach toys on your own. |

| Quite a hotel complex, my only negative is the 50 dollar breakfast buffet (for two). There are precious few alternatives to it too. The pool areas are amazing. |

| This resort hotel is beautiful and very family friendly. The grounds and pools are spectacular. Food on site is quite expensive, but that was expected based on the quality and location of the property. This is the second time we've visited. After staying once as a couple, we had to come back with our children! |

| The Hilton Waikoloa was what we expected. It was HUGE and had alot to offer. We split our trip between 2 hotels and the first was much more relaxing and adult friendly. This hotel was a dream for kids. The service was good although they couldn't accomodate a late checkout and they only had one hospitality room for a zillion guests (so that we could stay a little later on the last day as our flight was at night). Since the property was so huge, it took us forever to just go to the pool or gym so when you left for the day, you had to pack everything wisely (not good to "run up to the room for that sunscreen, etc"). |

| This hotel is good for 1st timer where you get all kinds of services hotel can possibly offer. We got clean and comfortable room with good rate. Hotel staffs are all friendly and provides good service. Only our challenge was that the distance between parking to hotel room. Sometimes hotel internal transportation does not come for a long time. My daughter loved it especially the boat ride in contrast to her impatient parent. |

| Nice hotel but pricey. They charge you for everything rentals etc. For the price you pay you should not be nickel and dimed to the extent they did. Hotel setting very nice! |

| Very dissapointed.
Had heard about this "luxury" hotel, and wanted to swim with a Dolphin, which turned out, was an AWESOME experience. You DON"T have to stay at the hotel to do this, so don't.
If you don't take the VERY slow subway train, or slower "Boat" (on rails)prepare to walk at least 3 miles to get to your room from the lobby. Not kidding. Great place for walkers!
I didn't appreciate the un aloha staff, and although the architecture and layout was amazing, I'm glad I only stayed one night.
Also, for a hgotel of 1250 rooms, why is there only one line for BOTH check in AND check out? |

| The pools and amenities are great for family fun and relaxation.
but eat off the resort for better food and service.
We went to the King and Queen's mall in the village and loved Sensei (sushi), Merriman's cafe.. and even the food court. |

| This hotel is depressing. It's falling apart and smells like sewage everywhere you go (particularly on the south side of the hotel). I was there on business, but felt bad for people who had saved up to stay at this property, when there are other properties at the same price, which are a better value (e.g., Marriot Waikaloa).
Bottom line, stay away from this place. It's old. It's smelly. And its a dump. They should rate this a two-three star property. I know this review is brutal, but as someone who travels very often, this hotel was just awful. |
