Recent Island Colony Hotel Review: "This was our last night in Hawaii - only spending one night on the island of Oahu. We didn't need anything special because we didn't plan to be there very long. The hotel messed up on our reservations and put us down for December of 2009 - so they were booked for the night we were confirmed. They honored our reservation and upgraded us to a suite which was actually like a one-bedroom apartment on the 22nd floor. They also allowed us to check out up to one hour late without any penalty. Parking costs $18 per 24 hours - through a different facility. Staff was very helpful. The place was a little bit run down but really not bad at all especially for the price. It had a full kitchen and a beautiful view of Honolulu - we could even see the ocean from one of the huge windows. Given the traffic in Honolulu - this was a GREAT location to stay! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends."
