Recent Kapalua Villas Maui Review: "We tried the oceanfront and were extremely satisfied. We were greeted with a wall of windows looking out at the ocean, rocks and beach below. The owners of the unit had left two boogie boards and three coolers - nice touch but each owner is different. We had marble floors (great because of the daily sand), and the fold-out bed was great for the kids.  The A/C and fans were terrific and the kitchen was fully loaded. Shopping at Costco (near airport) or Safeway (Lahaina) recommended. Also a great shop at the location for small items. Ritz pool was fun for the kids. The daily $25 "resort fee" covered our calls to the U.S., visits to the Villa's spa (larger than the Ritz per my wife), etc. Parking was convenient. Trails were terrific. Honoloa Bay is a must for snorkling - Kapalua Bay great for snorkeling, swimming. Beaches in front of Villas better for boarding. The Ulalena show was also terrific. It was a bit more for beachfront, but the daily morning Kona coffees on the beach, while kids played in the ocean, made it worth it. Plenty of wind during our July visit and some construction going on."
