| This is our second stay at the hotel. The hotel could use an update and some renovations with everything being well worn and dated. It is bare bones when it comes to some of the extras--only a fridge, no coffee maker, no microwave, not even an ice bucket to get ice from the machine. I would have liked to do some laundry in their facility, but only one washer was working at the time. The staff was friendly, the bed comfortable enough, and the price in our budget. So, if you don't mind an outdated and bit rundown hotel, it's fine. If you want something more up to date with a few more amenities, go elsewhere. |

| This is a value hotel with a nice location and very clean. Much maintainence is needed and the restaurant is closed, but the room looked as if it were just finished, in 1972. |

| 这家酒店给我印象最深刻的是它三百多的房价---这是我这次夏威夷之行里最便宜的酒店了！但预定了之后看评价有吓了一跳---评价很糟糕！我看几条中文评价都是09年的，就期盼着这二年可以重新装修下下，在忐忑中到了酒店---确实比预期的好---我觉得确实部分翻新过了---床上用品，地毯，卫浴等都不错，所以我踏实的推荐给朋友们！ |

| We were in between resorts and needed a room for one night. The small fridge allowed us to keep our perishables cold. The beach is where surfers can be found. Close to a large shopping centre and restaurants. The Kauai Sands is tired, but the rooms were clean and the staff are terrific. |

| Lots of young people! Single, too, You will meet the bargain hunters at the Sands. I thought people were friendly! |

| I have stayed at nicer places but those cost a lot more of course. This place was a good place for me to park, sleep, and shower at. The location is great for getting to different parts of the island. Staff was friendly. For the low cost you can't expect more. If you are going to Kauai to stay inside all day then maybe this is not the hotel for you. If you want to save some cash and use that for your adventures then this is a great place to help you with that.
Ok, this is me just venting a bit now, but beware of the bouncer at the bat next door. Strangest thing ever, he wanted to instigate a fight with me and had the locals wanting to beat me up. Long story, but other than that guy (the place is not bad).
Oh yeah, but the hotel is a great place, just go for it if you are looking for a place to stay. |

| If you want excellent value and a little faded elegance, this is a great place. The rooms are fine. After all, you're in Hawaii, so how much time do you plan on staying in your hotel? The cleaning staff was very nice and friendly, the front desk staff could have been a little more cordial.
The motel is close to shopping and some good dining, and when we return to Kauai, we will stay here again. |
