Recent Kauhale Makai Maui Condo Review: "We were very impressed with the hotel along with its excellent location and lovely view. Didn't know what to expect b/c of the reasonable cost, but should not have worried- it was great for staying several nights. The only thing we would note is that the bed linens could be updated, but that certainly didn't take away from a lovely experience."

Kihei’s beaches—Kamaole, Keawakapu, Kihei, and Mai Poina—are good for walking, swimming, and windsurfing. Makena Beach, south of Kihei, is aptly nicknamed the Big Beach.
