| We haven't been to Maui in 7 years and not much has changed except for the traffic. We love this area, the condo is across the street from Kamaole Beach 2. The weather was wonderful, sunny and warm. We had an upgraded kitchen and bathroom, very comfortable bed, had access to mats, boogie board, beach chairs. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, coolers and linens. Insuite washer/dryer is always a perk and our unit had free wifi. We were in D 208 and what a suprise to have an ocean and spectacular sunset view. The grounds were well maintained and there were 2 pools and bbq areas. |

well equipp

| We originally booked via Hotel.com at Kihei Akahi - Maui Condos & Homes, but called couple days laterby mauicondo property rental company to "upgrade" us to Maui Parkshores. Not sure if it was an "upgrade". Only about two city blocks from Kihe Akahi and closer to the road. 2 bath 2 bedroom compreable. Mauicondo personnel were friendly and easy to reach by telephone. Although hesitant in doing so, they emailed me a confirmation of the change of accommodations.
Family of four stayed in condo #302 Maui Parkshore. It is a third floor lanai with view of the property, pool, parking lot. The condo was very nice updated, clean with all the amenities the boogie boards and beach chairs came in handy. House rules were minimal. Beds and pillows were comfortable. In unit washer and dryer came in handy allowed us to pack light. Has an obstructed view of the ocean, just right across the street. Because it is located on S. Kihei Road expect busy road noise. Can hear the ocean surf after 11:00 pm when the traffic dies down. Well-kept beach, so well kept, woken by loud leaf blower on one of our mornings. Nice family friendly beach with snorkeling, body boarding and playing in the sand. Recommend early morning walk along Kamaole I, II, III. Quick road trip to other beaches. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, night life, and grocery store. Pool was clean and well kept, I did not see a Jacuzzi. Close to other hotels and condos. Celebrated a wedding, other friends and family at nearby locations. |

| We first tried booking through the condo management's website so we can see and pick the unit but their website crashed so we came here. We were nervous about what we'd get but lucked out with a 6th floor unit (612) in Bldg C with a distant view of the ocean. Great location just across street from Kamaole Beach II and next to small shopping plaza. Since all of the condos are individually owned and furnished, conditions and contents vary. Again, we lucked out since ours was very well kept, clean, and stocked w/ everything we might need from dishes, cookware to even saran wrap (very useful but something you wouldn't buy on vacation). The unit also came w/ snorkeling gears, beach umbrellas, sand chairs, and a boogie board (provided by the owners or left by previous renters) for use. We stayed for 7 days and having in-unit washer/dryer & dishwasher were awesome. Communal pool/BBQ amenities were great & well kept too. Owners installed small AC (not standard in all units) but didn't need to use it since breeze and ceiling fans were sufficient. Only downside to natural ventilation is noise. Bedroom windows face the outside corridor and you can hear people coming/going late at night & early morning, but not too bad since we were high up. Avoid ground level units & numbers -09/-10 since they directly face the elevators. |

| I just had a one week stay in Room C-612 in early August. The room was clean, comfortable, well stocked with beach gear (mat, snorkeling equip, rock shoes, beach bags) and had a clean kitchen and open living room. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, cutlery, etc. I was very happy with my stay - just a 3 minute walk to the beach! Great neighborhood too.
Would totally recommend this room - not sure on the condition of other rooms since each are run individually. |

| My wife and our 11 year old son enjoyed staying at Kehei Akahi. We were impressed how clean it was. The kitchen was fully furnished. For families who prefer to cook, it had everything you need. Just buy the groceries like we did. The beach was across the street and we watched the sunset each night. The only thing I didn't like is that the main office didn't have a computer for their guest to use. The front dest employee wasn't helpful in printing my confirmation page that was made through my iphone. I had to use the nearby internet cafe to access my email and print the confirmation page required for our daily activities. I would have given Kehei Akahi a rating of 5 star but lack when it comes down to customer service. Therefore, my rating is 4 star. Despite of lack of customer service, I would recommend Kehei Akahi to my friends and families. |

| This Kehei Condo had a very attractive price, great location, and the grounds were very well kept with some ammenities. The unit however does not have A/C and the interior is a bit hammered, not having been upgraded since it was built in the 70's or early 80's. It did not feel like being in a professionally kept facility, but actually more like a friend's Aunt and Uncle's time share. |
