Recent Kona Seaside Hotel Review: "The Kona Seaside met and exceeded our expectations for our entire stay of 16 nights during February 2011. The hotel was in a great location - convenient to beaches, shops, restaurants, activities and sites. Our room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed being on the 4th floor - the view of the garden, pier, and beach from our balcony was excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly and most helpful. The bed was very comfortable and housekeeping took great care of us. The grounds of the hotel were lovely and maintained with care every day. The 2 pools were very nice, but we really enjoyed the back deck. It was a great spot to just relax and enjoy the start of our morning or the end of our evening. The view of the ocean and street from this deck and also the restaurant were a real delight! We both enjoyed our FREE breakfast every morning. (this was a full, hot breakfast, not a continental snack!) The wait staff were charming and started our days off with a smile every day. There was a parking fee of $5 per day, but we felt it a small price to pay for the convenience of parking at the hotel and their excellent security. Security was in the parking areas day and night....a real comfort. The location of the hotel was a real plus! We could walk to the pier, the beach, the luau, many shops and restaurants...some actually on the grounds of the hotel, activities, and sites of interest such as the first church, the farmer;s market, etc. We would and do recommend this hotel as a delightful stay!"
