The place is conveniently located in the heart of Kuhio ave., where the hustlin and bustlin is up and going until the wee hours of the day. The bus stop going around the the city is just right outside of the hotel's door. Wether you want to go places or going on tours every thing is just right at the corner of the hotel. You don't have to spend a lot  of money for taxicab going to the airport, $2.50, will get you to the airport where the bus stops right outside of the hotels door.

Webmaster needs to fix The web page, was incorrect, its shows a photo of a large white hotel and swimming pool and one real photo shot of the hotel, Our stay was wonderful there and the front desk was very friendly. there is street noise, But its all about Location-Location center of the city and it was GREAT, We Will Stay there again, We Survived the  Tsunami Watch on Wikki, HI. My husband said this was the best and safest built building there, so he went to sleep. They had a wonderful restaurants near by, Bus service on Kuhio Banyan Street.

The room is out dated but all in all for somewhere to just sleep while you're site seeing it's perfect! Clean, decent size, really nice, helpful staff. The shower is a tight squeeze for larger people though but it had a stove top, fridge and microwave so we saved cash by being able to buy groceries instead of eating out. It was 2 blocks from the beach, right across from the International market place and in the middle of Waikiki's night life I would definitely stay there again.

Our group had a great time staying at the Kuhio Banyan. We got a great deal on the 2 rooms that we booked. Each room slept a max of 4 people. We had two different layouts for each of our rooms. One room had a murphy bed plus a sofa sleeper. The other had a murphy bed plus 2 twin beds that were hidden under the couch cushions. Upon arriving, the woman at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. She let us take a look at the rooms before giving them to us. Apparently, the larger sized rooms are all "smoking rooms" (but our party prefers non smoking), so she gave us the option to go in and see how strong the smoke smell was. We ended up choosing one smoking room and one non smoking room, which was a bit smaller. We had no problems with the supposed "smoking room" smelling too strong. The air conditioning the rooms worked well. As did the mini fridges. We never tried the stovetop on the counters since we ate out everyday. The best part about the Kuhio Banyan Club is the LOCATION! It's walking distance to EVERYTHING. The beach and shopping were a short walk away. It was great being the middle of everything. At night it got a little loud in the area, but we didn't mind since we were usually out ourselves. The Kuhio Banyan is not luxurious by any means, but if you want a place to sleep at night it's a great find. The rooms could use some updating, but our whole group was comfortable. And though the rooms were old, which may have contributed to their dirty look, we didn't actually feel like they were dirty. The sheets are towels were very clean. I would stay here again if I needed a reasonably priced hotel in Waikiki.
