| I think this was my favorite place to stay of our whole trip to Hawaii! So quiet and peaceful ... nice people, family atmosphere! Hotel rooms have recently been renovated, and are VERY nice with VERY comfortable mattresses and AMAZING pillows!
Parking is free, bags of ice are free, and there is a continental breakfast every morning that you can eat by the pool, in your room, on your lanai, or in the Ohana Room.
The General Store is a short walk next door, and you can stock up on supplies there.
The landscaping is just gorgeous, with flowering hawaiian plants all around. There is no air-conditioning and no tv in the rooms, but you don't need it. Just leave the windows open and your ceiling fans on ... the most peaceful rest I've had!
I do need to mention that Napili Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches! What a breathtaking view from the pool area! Beach chairs are free to use and are available from the hotel, and your room is furnished with a beach towel, with fresh ones upon request.
Hair dryers are available upon request. Late checkout is also available ... ask for rates. Late checkout comes in handy when a lot of flights leave out of Maui at night, and you have to find something to do with yourself and your luggage for the whole day. We paid the extra for late checkout and spent our last hours in Maui soaking up the sun at the beach and the pool.
What a GREAT vacation! Thanks to The Mauian for being such a special place to visit and stay! |

| The Mauian is a great little hotel located in Napili. This is my second visit in the past year and I won't stay anywhere else in Maui on future visits. The Mauian is definitely for the low-maintenance traveler. If you want huge pools, lots of people, A/C, TV's and a half mile walk to the beach through a resort, this is not for you.
What you will get at the Mauian is beautiful grounds, gorgeous rooms, gas grills to BBQ on, friendly and helpful staff, and really nice neighbors who have probably been vacationing here for 20+ years. Napili is a little out of the way from the hot spots, but it's kind of nice in that respect. My only complaint is loud people upstairs if you're staying on the ground floor. I always seem to be below people that like walking around loudly at 2:00 am which is not cool. Bring earplugs, just in case. Otherwise, this place is awesome. |

| I don't think we could've enjoyed our time at The Mauian much more, aside from the unfortunately-timed construction & renovation work. When that's done, though, the place will be even more amazing - but hopefully it stays a quiet gem on the beaches of Napili!
Mauian is close to all the resort-laden beaches of Kapalua and Whaler's Village, but far enough away that it still feels very comfortable - meaning no huge group tours, no lines at check-in, no waiting at restaurants, and plenty of open sand on the beach! If you're looking for full resort-level service, I wouldn't recommend the Mauian... but if you're looking for a fully renovated, modern boutique studio apartment that's literally steps from the sand, I wouldn't bother going ANYWHERE else. |

| With such a low price, we had low expectations and the Mauian exceeded them on all fronts. Really nice rooms (recently redone) with Temperpedic beds and beautiful bathrooms. They offer boogie boards and floatie devices for the kids and chairs for the beach. The location is quite possibly the best on Maui, and our door was about ten steps from their great beach. They don't have in-room Internet, but you can get Wi-Fi in their "Ohana" room at the front of the complex.
My only complaint (and it is small) is their weird beach towel policy. They give you towels at check in, but you can only exchange them for fresh ones every three days. Ours got so wet we ended up washing them every day at their coin laundry. Not a big deal, but something they could easily change that would make things better for the guests. All in all, a great hotel - perfect for extended families or groups. |

| We stayed here our final night after spending a week in a condo in Kaanapali. The room, grounds, and beachside location were great - modern, super-comfortable beds, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Because it is an older building with doors connecting the rooms, you do hear your neighbors, but this wasn't a problem for us. |

| My yearly trip with my sisters brought us to the inexpensive Mauiian this year and we will look no further. Very pleasant atmosphere, very children friendly, friendly staff and a comfortable clean studio. All this and only steps to the beach, and I mean steps. Close to Lahiana for our shopping pleasure and small kitchen for our dinners sitting on our patio, looking at Molakai and the ocean. WOW. I've stayed several times at fancy resorts and enjoyed the stay, however if you're looking for total relaxation this is the place |
