Recent Mauna Lani Bay Bungalows Review: "As an experienced resort traveler, I found that the Mauna Lani exceeded my expectations in almost every way. From the moment we checked in, the service was impeccable. This may not be the most sophisticated of the hotels in the area, or the most expensive, but the overall experience was second to none. The hotel is big enough to have all the facilities almost anyone would want, from great golf courses to a fitness center, to plenty of secluded beach seating, but intimate enough because of the great service, that one never feels like you're in a large, impersonal chain.
A couple of small negatives. The week we were there the hotel hosted an award trip for about 200 farmers and seed sales people from the Midwest. They definitely diminished the urbanity of the guests that week, and you wouldn't find a group like this at the Four Seasons. Second, the beach is relatively small and loaded with lava rock. Even with these two negatives, we loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend this hotel."
