| The hotel was neat and clean, comfortable room. The kids really loved the pools. We were there on a week day and it was very quite - adults could enjoy a stay there too. There is no place to do laps and the large pool closes at 9pm. The breakfast was good - we chose to upgrade from continental to hot breakfast at only $3/person.
The only problem we had was our room was really cold as the airconditioning was going full blast when we arrived (it was August). We called down to the desk and someone came right away and switched it to heat. However, the heater did not put out hot air after about 5 minutes so we gave us and let mother nature warm us slowly up. I'm guessing they had not gotten the heaters ready for winter yet as we were in mid August.
We would definately stay here again. |

| I spent two weeks in this hotel from May to Jun 08. Here are my observations. This hotel is on Kalakaua Ave, which is the main strip in Waikiki. It is within minutes of great shopping and many great restaurants. Waikiki beach is a 10-15 walk from this hotel. It was a great location for a vacation if shopping and dining are what you are looking for. Now for the negatives; our room was on the 9th floor and facing Kalakaua Ave and all road noise was easily heard, whether it be ambulances, motorcycles or screaming Japanese tourists. The bathroom was very small and the shower made one clausterphobic. Also the toilet was installed a little off center and there was paint peeling above the shower head. I noted the room remodeling was done rather sloppily in the corners of the room. The couch had brown stains on it and the furniture was very Kitsch Hawaiian print. The thing my family found most annoying about this hotel was the elevators. If you parked in the underground parking garage there was only one elevator up and it sometimes took 10-15 minutes to come to the parking garage. There were a total of 3 elevators in this hotel and sometimes you would wait on your floor or the Lobby for 10-15 minutes for an elevator only to hop in and find out it was going to the 16th floor, even though it indicated it was going down. Numerous times during our stay one of the three elevators broke down and was out of service for 1-2days. One last thing to note, there are parades down Kalakaua Ave every other weekend. So this means the street is closed off and you can't get to the Hotel in the evening to park. You must park on Ala Wai Ave and walk the two blocks to the Hotel. This hotel met our needs and was moderately priced, but we found it frustrating at times. |

| Clean, Modern and a Great Location accross from the Alomoana Park. You can see the beach from hotel room. Convienent to shopping and the area attractions. |

| Only real disappointment was the front desk put us in the worst room available. Ground floor, near elevator and humid due to the swimming pool. We asked for a different room, which was one floor higher and a little better located. My question is why give us the worst room when better locations are available???? |

| On a recent vacation, we stayed at the hotel, and even though they put us on the 1st floor (no view to speak of), we were very happy with the room, and the location of the hotel. It's close to Waikiki, downtown, freeway access and the beach! We would recommend this hotel, and their friendly staff. The AC was a bit loud, but it was nice and cool in the room!!! |
