Recent Outrigger Maui Eldorado Review: "This resort was well kept, new condition furnishings and tropical decor. The beach is a short walk across the golf course but a great time to reflect on paradise. Beautiful sunsets and long walks on the beach."

A short guide to Lahaina

Lahaina proudly boasts that it is the “Art Capital of the Pacific.” With more than 40 art galleries, it hosts Aloha Friday, a weekly party with artists’ demonstrations. The town’s roots grow deep—literally. The historic whaling town has one of the world’s largest banyan trees, planted in 1873. From Lahaina, visitors can ride a ferry to the mostly undeveloped islands of Molokai and Lanai.

Hugging Kaanapali’s two golf courses, Outrigger Maui Eldorado is a five-minute walk or short golf-cart ride (by request) from a quiet, sandy beach. The resort has three outdoor pools—one with barbecues—and guests have complimentary tennis privileges at a neighboring resort. Special rates for the golf courses may be available and must be arranged through the front desk upon arrival.

Kaanapali Beach is known for its swimming, catamaran rides, parasailing, and other ocean play. Beach equipment and activities can be arranged on site (surcharge). A short walk along the sand leads to Black Rock, a famous lava promontory that was sacred to ancient Hawaiians and provides superb snorkeling.
