Recent Sheraton Kauai Resort Review: "I loved everything about the Sheraton except for the dining options. The rooms are very nice, the pools are great, and of course the location on Poipu Beach couldn't be better. Also, free mai tai at sunsetr Love it. As for the dining... there's a main restaurant (Shells), the more casual Point, the pool bar, and the sushi restaurant. I'm vegetarian, and I had a very hard time finding anything interesting to eat there. My options were a salad, veggie pasta, or a cheese pizza at the bar. (The exception was the sushi restaurant... they made me vegetable tempura that was fantastic.) The brunch buffet is really good, but fairly expensive. The hours of the restaurants aren't great, either. I wish the sushi restaurant was open more regularly, or that the pool bar didn't have such limited hours. We ended up leaving the property to eat quite a bit. Apart from that, though, we loved it!"
