Recent Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Review: "We live on Oahu but didn't want to deal with driving that night.
We stayed at the hotel on New Year's Eve and walked to Duke's Waikiki Restaurant for dinner then walked to the Sheraton Waikiki for the Cyndi Lauper Concert. After the concert we went back to the hotel and watched the fireworks from our balcony. It was a great evening. Everything was in walking distance.
The hotel does not have a jacuzzi but they encourage you to use the amenities at their sister hotel, Waikiki Sheraton, which is a lot more expensive to stay at so it's a great deal. There's a pool, large lobby, various meal buffets, great room service, and plush beds. We originally asked for a king size bed but they did a free upgrade on our room and gave us a better view with two double beds instead. The view was well worth it though.
We ordered room service and deivery was fairly quick. The food looked and tasted great. It wasn't that expensive for what we got. We ordered dessert and it looked like it came from a fancy restaurant.
I would definitely stay here again. I would insist on the king size bed though and insist on the great ocen view. :-)"

| A short guide to Waikiki |
|
Waikiki established its reputation as a getaway when the Moana Surfrider opened its doors in 1901. Today, more than 30,000 hotel rooms are packed in the skyscrapers along the golden sands of Waikiki Beach. At the end of Waikiki, Diamond Head towers as an enduring landmark. West of Waikiki, Pearl Harbor offers a somber testament to history and the victims of World War II.
