This hotel was top nothc. From the food to the views it was amazing. You will need a car as the beach for the hotel is not really swim friendly. You will have to drive to a swimming beach. If you surf it is perfect as the channel for the outer break is right next to the hotel. Amenities were smashing. The golf was close, and the course was fun and in  great shape.

U DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHERE TO PARK - CUZ VALLET PARKING IS AN BAISC OPTION / I DON'T WANNA RECOMMAND THIS PLACE CUZ I'M AFRAID THAT LOTS OF PEOPLE WOULD COME TO ST. REGIS, SO THAT THIS HOTEL MIGHT BE OVER-CROWDED!!

This was our second hotel on Kauai, having stayed for the first week in the Southern area of the island. We would highly recommend this hotel if you like being pampered in an exquisite setting! The North of the island is gloriously scenic, and whilst there is only a small beach at the hotel, there are many excellent beaches nearby. Princeville is a  wonderful, picture perfect, location with shops, restaurants, and a supermarket. If you choose to walk from the hotel to the shopping center, it is 2 miles on paved manicured walkways through beautiful, ocean-bordered surroundings. Alternatively, the route makes an excellent exercise course, notably popular with joggers and walkers. We loved this resort and plan to return soon!

the hotel is amazing! the service is amazing and food impecable. my only complaint (and its nothing that the hotel can do about it) is that its on the rainy part of the island - still its not a huge island and you can get around pretty easy.

This was the most beautiful place my wife or I have ever stayed. We went for our Honeymoon and did not even want to leave the Hotel. The most amazing views and easy access to the Ocean. The pool staff makes you feel like you are a VIP. They bring you towels, move unbrellas, fill your water and even bring fresh pineapple. They have so much staff at all the departments, you never are waiting for anything. Make sure you check out the low tide in the morning and walk out on to the reef area. One of the most amazing things you will see. We will never stay anywhere else in Kauai.

THE GOOD: The view is phenomenal The sunset The pool The cool window in the bathroom that frosts with a flick of a switch! THE BAD: Broken refrigerator in our room that smelt like mould Broken TV in our room Power outages in our room No coffee machines in our room Freaky staff uniforms - think cult Waco Texas! THE UGLY: Everything is overpriced.... very very very overpriced (self-parking $26 a night) You pay for everything, no matter how small. You feel permanently ripped off The breakfasts are awful, worse than a 2-star Marriott. And it costs $32 a head! Head to Java Kai in Hannalei instead The service - when we complained they just shrugged and ignored us! SUMMARY: Stay at the Hannalei Bay Resort instead. Its cheaper, has the same amenities (although admittedly a bit dated), and shares the same beach as the St Regis

I have heard that this hotel is slated for a complete renovation in a couple of weeks, so much will probably change. is The rooms are clean and well maintained, but dated. Beautiful hotel, but not very "hawaiian" in style. Then new renovation is supposed to make it more open and "hawaiian" feeling. Service was excellent. Resturants are good, but not worth the extra expensive prices. Nice beach.

Wonderful experience. Hotel is closing for total remodel in a couple weeks. We're kind of sad to see the old style change but I'm sure the new improvements will be great. Hope to be able to afford to stay there after the remodeling!

Avoid the 1st floor rooms - they have a very strong mildew smell that never goes away. I'm sure the hotel will be much nicer (and more expensive) after the planned major renovation this fall.

The location and view from this hotel may be the best in Hawaii. The view from the restaurant is not to be missed. The golf courses in the area are great. Princeville is really a special place.
