Recent Westin Maui Review: "This is one of the best hotels and locations in Kaanapali - totally worth the cost. The pool is fantastic, but lacks a pool-side bar. The slide is great but very fast for adults. Service is exceptional, and most activities happen in or around the beach in front of the resort. One note: do not opt for the "Ocean View" side if you want a great view; this is the north side and effectively views the parking lot. We spent a *lot* of money on our room (even for the Westin) and expected a very nice view... were very dissapointed - the view is not at all like the view in the photo. We upgraded to a room that overlooked the interior of the grounds (pool and ocean). The upgrade was well worth it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone."

    The centerpiece of the resort is its 87,000-square-foot aquatic playground with five interconnected pools, spa tubs, swim-through grottos, waterfalls, meandering streams, and a 128-foot water slide. Scuba-diving lessons and other aquatic classes are offered daily (surcharge). Guests can also enjoy aquatic golf, water slide races, water volleyball, and water aerobics.
